El progresivo is the -ing form of the word. You use it when you want to say someone is doing something. You combine form of estar with -ar present progressive ending (-ando) or -ir,-er present progressive ending (-iendo).
Example: estudiar- estudiando.
Estoy estudiano para mi clase.
